Are regular silkies a good choice? the summers here can get really hot and snow in winter is a sureten. I want about three... can- no, will they live in close quarters? Like I said before.. no coop yet! I'm really young and want chickens for the rest of my life. (until I can't make it to the bathroom, much lees take care of chickens)

When I have children I want them to now it's okay to chickens or cows or pigs. BUt I need to start somewhere And chickens should be easy enuff, Feed them once or twice a day, let them free range, ect. Amaracunas are also on the mabe list. tell me which does better in close living spaces and hot whether- or even a different breed! thanks guys, I know you'll be a big help!
