Hi new and need help with my chickens.

Hi my name is Corey. I had chickens when i was a kid and now that iam 28 with my own kid. I got 10 chickens for the family to raise. I no how to feed and water them but would like to learn more about how to raise your own chickens and identifying the sex of the chicken and breed. I can tell a rooster form a hen but only when there older. My problem is my chickens are young and i think i have more roosters then hens. Would like to now breeds too. Would appreciate any help. Welcome to Backyard Chicken. As a new egg like you my experience is limited, but from the way some of the feathers are pointy in the tail, the first black chicken and the last pic look like roosters to me too. Jack the rooster is a great looking bird.

Thank yall. I like jack the rooster too he is nice rooster. Would like to find some nice Rhode Island reds or New Hampshire reds hens to put with him. Posted on the thread above will see what happens.
