Hi Everyone
My name is Eliz and I am an absolute first time new to chicken's chicken mom.
After declaring our interest in getting chickens we were given eggs by a friend that breeds chickens for pretty eggs.
10 of them hatched on Friday (Chaos in the incubator).
I think we have several Moran's and possibly a couple of Americana x Moran.
The little chaos agents are running around in their brooder as I type.
I am originally from England (Hence the username), moved to the US 17 years ago as I just love this country and became a full citizen a couple of years ago.
Recently moved to Texas and now have the room for chickens.
Oh, fun fact, along with a host of other foods I've been intolerant to eggs for almost 20 years.
However - I've finally found a doctor that can fix that and am so excited to be eating everything eggy again that I am keen to grow my own.
So hello everyone, I am genuinely excited to be here.
Ah and here are the babies, I am no expert but I think number 2 and number 5 might be roosters (the photo files are numbered), we shall see!
Eliz

Welcome! Good luck with those chicks, and if you want to sex them before day 4, pull out their wings. Rooster wings will be straight along the edge, and even. Pullets will have uneven, different sized feathers. BTW your chicks are adorable
