hi! New from ESVA

Hello everyone. I joined today after devouring this site for quite awhile after I got my first chickens last August.


I have 1 Barred Rock, 3 Cochins, 4 Rhode Island Reds and 1 adopted Cochin rooster ( he was abused by members of his former flock).

They are in addition to my two older, long ago rescued Labs and a cat that someone left outside my house on a cold winter night.

I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

I am very new to chicken raising, although my grandmother had them when I was a child. And I love them. A lot.
