Hello everyone!
New chicken mommy this season. My daughter is in 4-h poultry so we have just gotten some new two day old bantam chicks to show next season at the fair. I also have her show Roo for the jr fair for this season. I believe it's a Dutch bantam.

Welcome to BYC, and good luck with your chicks. Good luck to your daughter with her birds. You don't mention a source, but if she is serious about showing try to get stock from someone who is involved in showing birds.

Hi! Thanks for welcoming me with open arms. I just got the chicks from a local feed store but my daughter is still a primary. So it's all just practice for now. But the Dutch bantam roo did well before. I bought it from another 4-h girl from a different division. If my daughter loves showing I don't mind buying from an actual breeder for more show quality. But for now we have a buff laced polish, golden laced polish, possibly a pheasant cochin, and two millefleurs.
