Hi all!!
New to this forum and excited to meet some more chickie lovers
My name is Bridget, I grew up a TOTAL city kid, but wanting to do the "horse" thing, and then being in 4-H, it was inevitable that other 'farm critters' would eventually grab hold of me!
When we bought this farm, I got some mixed-type banties at an auction and LOVED having them around. We free-ranged, which was ok, until we had a small fox problem
Have since taken care of the area where the foxes nested, and was desperate for some more feathery friends.
Since my hubby was not entirely sold on the whole deal, I let him research and pick out our next batch of critters, and so, we now have 25 baby Old English Games....and one Blue Andalusian since Murray offered us the "free rare chick" option (of COURSE we took it!!)
I'm loving every minute of these little peepers, but at the same time, cant wait until they are big enough to venture out into the world. We have a nice "house" for them, and an area to fence off for them when they are ready.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!!!
~Bridget
