Hi! New in northern colorado

Hello! We've had four hens for just over two years. But unfortunately lost three early this spring when we had a newborn (human!) and neglected to lock the door.
We have the last one, whose broodiness seems to have saved her life, three new chicks and she loved them immediately.

But now we have an acceptance problem so I've come here and just posted about a Vicious Mama hoping for a silver lining!
