I am a new member, but I've searched your forums for answers about my flocks for a while.

I have a layer flock - Ameraucana, Barred Rock, White Rockies, some mixed breeds - of 12 ladies. No roos.

I also have 5 Silkies in various colors and 5 bantams in assorted breeds. We discovered recently that our Polish is a roo, and our D'uccle (possibly) is also a roo.

My question is: Our Polish is very docile by nature due to the limited vision his coif affords. Our D'uccle is showing himself to be the dominant one. He is the only one who will crow, and he minds his girls very well. Is it possible that our Polish will be a calm roo?

Does anyone else have experience with Polish bantams?
Flossy

Lucy -- too late to change his name.
If you can correctly identify what breed he is, I would be most thankful!

There so beutiful!!!!!!!!
I'm experienced with battam polish roosters, and hens, they will be fine together if: You have a pen big enough for them both, You treat your rooster with respect, and if you don't make them feel like your another rooster! I hope that won't be to hard for you to do!

And!

I hope it works out.

One person I knew was mean to his rooster, and polish, and he was mean back. My rooster used to be all mean to me, because he didn't get the chance to see i wasn't a rooster.

Flossy is a part of our family and is well loved by my 12 year-old. He will perch on her shoulder or sleep in her lap. We treasure our pretty boy. Also, Lucy, is my personal favorite, so I make sure to handle him regularly and cuddle with him. In case you are wondering about the name, I went with Lucy because of the grey coloring. Now we know he's a he, and I can't change his name to Rick Astley now can I?

Well on of my rooster's used to be named charlotte, but i changed it to Chibi. And my twin loves my polish rooster so much! I he loves her to!
