(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
So the is yes and no. This is my first time having my own chicks. My husband and his brother used to have some at there work shop. We also have a rooster who showed up at our house and has adopted us.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? As of now we have 7 chickens. One 9-10 month old roster, two 1 week old chicks, and 4 that are just a few days old.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I'm not 100% sure what our rooster is but he's white with a little brown and black and is truly the majestic beast he thinks he is. 2 easter Eggers, 2 silkies, and 2 black split to lavender orpington bantams, at least that's what I think they are.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
So far all the snuggles and love they give
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I've been married for 3 years to an amazing man who got me chickens for mother's day. I'm also a mom to 2 boys, 15 and 9, who love the chickens just as much. And my bonus daughter, aka my oldest son's girlfriend. I have to watch her to make sure she's not stealing my chicks lol.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found it by Googling questions about chickens.
