Hi newbie from Washington state

Thank you for all the greetings. Penny 1960 I will give it a try, I retired 2 years ago so after getting settled in decided I would have a few chickens but I seem to be getting a little carried away. Adult chickens I have a Welsummer Rooster and hens I have 1 Welsummer, 2 Light Brahma, 2 Rhode Island Red, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 3 Ameraucana, 3 Black Australorp, 1 Golden Sexlink, 3 Barred Plymouth Rock and 1 Buff Orpington. Chicks 5 days old 2 Welsummer, 3 olive eggers, 3 Black Copper Marans and 3 cream Legbar. 5 weeks old 5 Buff Orpington, 5 Golden Laced Wyandotte and 6 weeks old barn yard crosses Welsummer roo x 1 Ameraucana, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Black Australorp, 1 Light Brahma. The Barred Rock and Black Australorp crosses are both Roos. That's about it for now going to have meat chicks and ducks coming in spring trying to build something for them now.
You must live out a bit in the country as we do and chicken math as it is called
runs rampant

just remember subtraction is also allowed.. we also have a Washington thread
if you type the state in the search with peeps on the end it will come up...
which side of the state do you reside on if I may ask

Yup out in the countryside of eastern Wa. This chicken thing is crazy just wanted a few eggs then ordered from a hatchery with 25 chick minimum and off I went from there. I found that I could sell as many eggs as the girls could lay and many more. I also get a kick out of the girls my rooster Buddy for some reason thinks he needs to kill me once a week every week normaly on a thurs or Friday he's petty punctual about it. I grab him when he comes at me and Cary him around for about a half an hour then we are good for another week. Anyone else have this type of thing with there Roo

Not sure he may be coming at you to have you pick him up
Blue my avatar is my only cockerel and he is unsure what I am
up to

No he doesn't want me to pick him up he hates me and it is a full on attack every week flaired hackles and blunt spers flying at me. After I hold him and calm him down I touch him everywhere then let him go and he stays away from me. If I'm outside the run he makes a big deal out of things calling his girls over to him if they stay by me he gets real mad and pretty soon comes over and hits the wire fence to try and get me to go away. It's kind of funny to me but I do not tease him or anything like that. He had two brothers wow you talk about mean I made noodles out of them at 6 months.
