Hi,
My name is Jennifer and my family has been interested in raising chickens for pets and eggs for a while now. I finally got my husband to build me a coop and he is finishing the yard! I am so excited! We got our incubator yesterday and are raring to go with some eggs and chicks! I've already learned that there is SO MUCH to learn about hatching chicks from eggs but can't wait to try it! We are looking to raise some silkies and maybe some Orpingtons too. We have found a lady nearby with the Orpingtons but need a good source for silkie eggs. Any opinions?

There are a lot of people here that sell silkies. Try going to the silkie thread. Orpington are great. I have three.
