Hi I'm Salle
I'm married with two children, we have a chicken and a cat, we did have a whippet/alsation dog who had diabetes, who sadly had to be put to sleep in march (old age), we also had 3 other chickens, 1 died of old age and the other 2 got taken by a fox, we managed to save the 1 we now still have.
I also have an allotment and am trying to teach my children how to become more "green"
I have a slight problem with the chicken we have...up to 2 weeks ago..even though the other chickens and the dog have gone...she was still laying eggs and was quite happy....now she has stopped laying and WONT come out of her coop?? not sure why? we have checked for mites and thoroughly cleaned her coop..she is ok with the cat (cat is scared of the chickens!) however there is a new cat in the house behind ours??
I have to literally take her out of the coop to get her to drink any water or eat?
She is also making a horrible squawking noise and fluffing up her feathers...am at a loss what to do now?
Any advice would be great
Btw...I hope you are all well and are having a good weekend?
Thanks
Salle
