Hi! So I’m new to the BYC and I could really use some help as far as my coop goes I need a big enough coop for 20 hens and one Roo i kinda did this all Hat backwards wood is so high and I don’t have much funds and I can’t bring myself to buy one off Amazon or eBay etc. for it won’t last and I want a coop that will last long time I have been looking at hoop coops they look like they would be reasonable as far as money goes and I live in Oregon so we’re coming up on winter for us my chickens are large fowl Cochin and Brahmas any help! As far as a big enough coop goes wold be wonderful or any plans and materialists thanks in advance!

Chickens need at least 4 square feet each in the coop, and at least 8 square feet each in the run, and one quarter nest box per hen. I wouldn't but a prefab, most are outrageously expensive and are junk.
There's an articles section with lots of coop designs, look at the top of page, it's a 'page' picture on mobile.

Yes, look through the coop pages, focus on the hoop coops.

Those would be fastest and least expensive.

In Oregon an open air coop, with as much as possible roofed would be best.

A hoop coop can fill that bill if you use a tarp/roof.

You can also stop by construction sites, and ask to root through their trash. There might be a local free stuff Facebook or Craigslist page to look for building supplies.

If you do not go with a hoop coop, I would suggest you build a roof, as large as you possibly can, and then wire the sides. So more like an aviary. You can put up temporary walls/shutters/lattice/bamboo fence around the perches for winter.

But, in a hot climate a breeze at perch level is a GOOD thing.

I’m not finding the coop page
