thanks for the warm welcome.
I have been working with my flock and there is almost no one in my area that keeps any poultry as pets most people out here are if its a turkey its thanksgiving dinner or if its a chicken then they only want them for eggs not for pets.
I have decided to join today to be able to talk to other people that have a special place for all poultry in their hearts.
I have a flock of 5 male and 2 female guineas the females are locked up because the males are very skittish and they are aggressive to the females.
One female is 7 months old and laying eggs currently the eggs are fertilized because one of the males is very friendly and he was the only one that stays with the female, when i used to let the female out my female guinea was raised with a trio of ducklings and so she follows the ducks a lot.
The second female is 3 months old and she is the only guinea that i have that isn't a pearl grey. I think she a purple or she might be a pied not sure yet she looks like a darker than normal pearl grey with white under her wings and she has white on her front no pictures of the younger one yet she is camera shy.
