and other kinds of poultry people....
I raise and show sebrights. We have some other chickens too.
In the past i showed many of the oriental breeds, such as the malay.
Also had peafowl, pheasants, doves, pigeons, quail of various species.
In chickens, large fowl Sumatra, Shamo, Cubalaya, RI, Wyandotte, Orpingtons,
Bantam OEG, Moderns, Silkies, Japanese, Brahmas,
...can't remember them all. Had some "genetic projects" which included blue red sebright. (similar to blue laced red wynadotte), and buff laced sebright (also know as chamois or lemon in some circles.)
Anyways, Sebrights are my favorite and i have had them over 12 years. Now i only have silver and golden.

Welcome to BYC from the California wine country in the Western Sierra Foothills!

I love my little Silver Sebright hen Alice; she's in a flock of about 50 chickens much larger than her, a slew of ducks, tjree turkeys and two geese. Used to have a Golden Sebright hen Joy, but she died eggbound before I knew how to diagnose the symptoms. And I had to rehome two SS Roos because they were SO loud. Alice is the only itty-bitty chicken left - she doesn't let anybody try to mount her, so her eggs are infertile. Sad when she goes broody, because she rejects any other eggs. (Can you blame her?!? It would be like sitting on a boulder and trying to hatch it!)

Welcome to BYC. Do you have any pictures of the blue/red sebrights?
Not any more. I passed that project on to someone else. But they looked alot like blue laced red wynadottes, in coloring that is.
