Hi There First time raising Baby chicks from a surrogate mother we were wondering how long until we introduce our new chicks into the flock

Hi there as the title describes it's our first time raising backyard chicks this way we successfully started raising four 1 week old chicks under a surrogate hen and we were wondering when is a good time to introduce them to the others (the flock size is 3 hens including their mom) it has been about 2 weeks since starting and their mom seems anxious to get more leg room

If mom wants to reintegrate with the rest of the flock, you could try it and keep a close watch to make sure mom is able to protect the chicks. Make sure they have a safe place to sleep at night that the baby chicks can reach.
