Hello everyone!
I have been a lurker for far too long and finally decided to join; I am so thrilled to have this site for a reference and pleased to join all of you in this community.
Now to the introduction.
I actually dont have any chickens, yet, I have a flock of 20 Ancona ducks that range in age from 15 weeks to 3 years. I have 20 ducks and I am thinking about some broilers and heritage turkeys for next spring.
My husband is very tolerant of poultry, as long as I dont bring home any goats or other mammals, without consulting first; I think he will keep his mouth shut and go happily along.
He is a city boy born and I am a country girl, though I dont really look it, I have orange hair and tattoos. We have lived just outside of Chicago for 10 years, until about 6 months ago when we bought a house in the country on several acres in Michiana. Bliss!
We have 2 boys, and very recently a little cat who adopted us. I love to sew, dry clothed on the line, organic garden, live as "greenly" as possible, play with my kids (I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom), tend my animals and get tattoos. Ha!
I am very knowledgeable about many topics and master of very few.
I am super excited to be here and to ask a million questions and also help where I can.
Very pleased to meet you all!
Sincerly
