Hi everyone, I have had chickens for about a year now. We have 2 buff Orpington (Tweety Bird and Princess Lay-a, a Hamburg (Lulu), 2 silkie chicks and our own hatchlings in the basement! I have followed this page for a while and am finally joining! Our buffs are my 16 yo daughters pets and she treats them like her babies but all love them. We live in Northern Ontario so our chickens weather -30° C weather in the winter and up to +30 in the summer!

I love the Star Wars name, our son named one Kylo Hen and Hen Solo. Our coop is called Egg One.

Thanks! My daughter considered those names too but since Kylo and Solo are men she didn’t want to name a hen that! I love the Egg One!

Yea well our son is hopeful Kylo hen turns into Kylo Ren lol. Our daughters however went with the name pancake and peaches and other daughter named hers Sam and Ella.....
