I am brand new to chickens, anxiously awaiting delivery of my first baby chicks.
I ordered a mixed package of 10 female chicks, so we shall see what I actually end up with, seeing as sexing is only about 90% accurate, and breeds will also be a surprise
My favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens are yet to be determined
Other hobbies include gardening, beekeeping, crocheting, sewing, crafts, traveling, and so on.
Kids are grown, no grands, yet. 3 rowdy dogs, 1 rowdy cat to keep them in line
, and 2 fish aquariums. Bees will be here in April. Maybe 1 day I can figure out how to have a koi pond in the upcoming fairy garden. (I'm not a busy person at all, can you tell?
)
I happened across BYC today when searching Google to see what size hardware cloth to use to help prevent snakes and other predators in my coop, to be put together this coming week. Pictures will be forthcoming, as I'm still getting the newly erected greenhouse situated tomorrow.
