Well, I jumped in with both feet and have 30 chicks in five breeds. Can't wait to see how it goes.

I've got 4 black jersey giants, 4 buff brahmas, 4 barred rock, and 6 silver laced wyandottes. The rest won't be here til April 6th. Can I add put them in with the others once they're all about the same size or will that be a problem?

Yes, you can put them with the others when they are about the same size, but you need to do it slowly and carefully using the "look but don't touch" method. There is a good article at http://poultrykeeper.com/general-chickens/introducing-new-chickens explaining how to do it. Good luck in integrating the new birds into your flock.
