(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, totally new, although I did help slaughter a few when I was a kid.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? None yet, but I'm looking into getting some in the spring now that I know I can have them in my area. Just need to find out how many...?
(3) What breeds do you have? None yet, but I'm open to suggestions for very winter hardy hens...
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Self sustenance. And egg prices!!! Plus, my Mom loves chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Motocross, skydiving, hunting, fishing, skiing, PC's, guitar playing and building, welding, engine repair, gardening, designing and building things. I'm currently designing a coop on my CAD program, and stealing all y'all's ideas
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Just a single dude, jack-of-all-trades, just bought a house on 3/4 acre, retired skydiver, living the easy life now. No pets, just got a PT job, starting a repair shop on the side, and trying to stay out of the rat race. I just want to ride my motorcycles and enjoy life.

I just found this place about a week ago through the Oak_Abode YT channel, and this looks like the best place to be since I'm going to get some pullets.
