I'm using the introduction questions.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We actully got ducks first late June a Pekin and a Cayuga, shortly after we closed on our new property 65+ acres my father in law brings me 26 Road Island Reds and not even a week later after going to the feed store there were only 3 duckling left so I bring them home of corse!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Currently we have 26 outside about 4 months old. And 23 inside about a month or so old. AMD only 3 ducks. Our family dog (english bull dog and my father inlaws english mastiff) killed my Pekin and one of of my babies she was about 2 months I still havent figured out what she was. (I think she was a Kackie she was while with a light brown on her head, wings, breast, and some of her tail.)
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Male Cayuga
2 Mallards
And all my chickens are Rhoad Island reds
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are so much fun to be around and funny to watch while they free range!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I do sell essential oils, and I have 3 small children 3 1/2 year old son, 2 year old daughter and a 9 month old daughter, we also have horses.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of 5, we have 8 horses, 5 dogs on our property, my inlaws (mother father and sister and brother) also my husbands grandmother all live on the property. We love to travel go on mission trips, serve where we can serve and help who we can help,
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found yall with google and everyone on here was very helpful with my questions that needed to be answered even though I was just reading the threads.
