Hi,
I am from South Alabama.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
started about 3 weeks ago. after waiting for a few years!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
i have 4 hens, impressive production so far. About 44 eggs in 2 weeks.
I have 22 chicks, I hope are all pullets.
(3) What breeds do you have?
i wanted a variety of look and egg color.....
Hens are a speckled Sussex, a BLGW, 2 white rocks.
chicks are a mix of mottled Houdan, Easter eggers, cuckoo Marans, buff Orpington, wellsummers, RIR, silver Wyandott, barred rocks, black sex links, ideal 236
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
they are so much fun to watch, eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
2 boys, so baseball and football
but I do garden some also.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married w 2 boys. I work am A dog trainer / breeder.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
