My fiancee and I finally made time and space to get out first chickens. I've been meaning to sign up for the forums for a while, but haven't got around to that until now when we found one of our girls has a problem. I'll be posting that to the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures board in just a minute. Anyway, hopefully I'll get to be on here for less unfortunate events in the near future.
Update: Now that I've made that post and I have a second, I figure I'll actually talk about myself.
We've got 4 rhode island reds named Quelana, Sieglinde, Rhea, and Amelia. They're about 11 weeks old currently.
I've been into self reliance and practical homesteading for a while so it was about time we got some animals.
I'm also into a lot of artisan crafts, from painting, to wood working, to blacksmithing. Additionally I do 3d modeling and video game design with my friend over at our indie studio Gamami Digital. And with that background I recently got my first 3d printer and I'm excited to make all kinds of neat and useful things for the house and garden. The defining aspect of myself is that I'm a maker in many ways.
