Hi, I'm new here and looking forward to explore BYC

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first 5 hybrid hens in 2013
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
At the moment have 8 hens, 1 rooster and 14 youngsters of 9 weeks (9 roosters,5 hens)
(3) What breeds do you have?
Swedish Flowers, Marans, Hybrids, Silverudds Blue, Mixes
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I'm just thankfult to have eggs and meat of happy chickens in our garden
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Walking, Reading, Gardening, Food Preserving
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of five, our children are 15,13 and 8
