I'm having a problem with our coop and needed some help. I will post over in the coop construction section.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New to chickens. Just bought some chicks last weekend.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Orpingtons and we think the others are Black Sex-link but I'm not sure. We were trying to buy Black Australorps.

Gardening

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home mom and I really want my little girl to grow up knowing where our food comes from.

First of all welcome to the world of chickens!
I'm fairly new to byc but not to chickens. I started out with some hatchery birds around 4 years ago and experimented with a few breeds but now breed ameracaunas. I also have some leghorns. australops and red sex links for eating eggs. Currently I have about 30 chickens.
I read about byc in a farm journal.
Hobbies- I make scented lye soap, I quilt and love to travel.
I work as a registered nurse in a cardiovascular unit, I have 3 girls who are in college and have 5 horses.
