(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- 17 August 2011! That was when a box full of 3-week-old chicks arrived.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- 13 at present, I am not going to keep all of them as some are waiting for their future mom to move to a house with a garden. I raised 21 originally, for me and for friends, it was mayhem for a while. Also, we are not supposed to have roosters and I suspect that I have at least 3.
(3) What breeds do you have?
- 3 Polands, 8 RIRs and 2 are RIRs crossed with Buff Orpingtons.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
- A friend who keeps chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- Gardening, reading, games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- I live in Cape Town South Africa, am married, work from home and have an African Grey Parrot as well.
