The main thing about hot climates, is to provide, shade, shade, and more shade. Natural or manufactured. Lots of cold, fresh water. A fan is good for the coop if you can mount it in such a way that birds won't fly into it. Moving air always feels cooler. Some people fill a shallow pan with water so the chickens can cool off their feet, it helps the make the whole bird cooler and more comfortable.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Definitely check out the links provided by Yorkshire coop. Our learning center is packed full of helpful info that you will enjoy reading. Good luck with your flock! Look froward to chatting more with you.

See you around BYC
