High anxiety chicken

Anyone else have a crazy chicken? I have 2 barred rocks and 3 black sex links. The sex links are just fine. One of the barred rocks I swear is crazy. Her name is Lucy and is at the bottoms of the pecking order. She pecks at me and FREAKS out whenever the dog gets within 5 ft of her, while the other are fine. She is just very skiddish and the others aren't. She has even pecked my daughter in the eye (I almost make chicken noddle soup that night). Now that she has laid her first egg I feel like she is calming down but still so freaked out by everything. Any advice on how to calm her down?

Some chickens are just crazy!

I have some hens and some roosters that are more high-strung then others. My Barred Rocks, however, are all pretty calm. I'm careful to walk and move slowly, to cut around them so they don't feel chased, and sometimes I just sit near them and pet my cat and they get more comfortable around me and get closer.

My ISA's were just fine. Untill a coin or something made off with two of em yesterday. Now they're afraid of they're own shadow. They're a couple months from laying yet, but I hope they calm down soon.
