After a long day of farming and frolicking with her friends, Cherry the nymph was glad to finally get some shuteye. She stood stock still, allowing herself to revert to her true self, a tall and willowy cherry tree. Sighing at the release of tension, she relaxed, allowing herself to drift as the song of the High Tide seemed to caress her, lulling her to sleep.
Silence.
Cherry's mind instantly went on alert. The songs had stopped. What was wrong? A deep instinct in her told her to run, to hide, and it terrified her. She had never had to run from something before. There was nothing to be afraid of on this island, right?
A quiet muttering to her left. She kept in her true form, anxiety building in her chest.
SNAP!
A barbed rope wrapped itself around her trunk, digging deep into her bark. Figures began jumping out of bushes to surround her. Cherry screamed as she reverted to her human-like form, small wounds showing on her legs. It was hard to see in the dim light as the figures surrounded her. They looked like nymphs, their legs were too straight to be satyrs, and they didn't have ears, tails, or glistening scales. But, unlike nymphs, they had cloth on, not a grouping of leaves making up their clothing. Were they... human?
Impossible, Cherry told herself as she fell to the ground, shaking. Her vision blurred. Something on the barbs, perhaps? She tried to crawl away, but one of the figures kicked her, knocking her to the side. She whimpered in pain, her legs and side now throbbing. She lay on the ground, exhausted.
Her vision went dark.

Summary: Usually High Tides were something the people of the Isle celebrated, the satyrs playing a special song every night during the month and the nymphs holding parties for all the creatures. This Tide is different, however. On the Rise of the Tide came something new, and something dangerous: Pirates. Legends told of this island, but no one had been able to find it for centuries, until now. The Pirates take the creatures captive in order to sell them at a market in their own land.
Species:
Nymphs- Tree and plant spirits, during the day residing in human form, but at night when sleeping, they revert to their true form, whatever plant they are named after.
They are usually very passive and against fighting and such. They wear leafy clothing (just plantlike). They are wanted for the potency of whatever plant they are. (If they're a tree, their wood will last forever without fading or crumbling; If they are a poison or an herb, they will be even more potent or more delicious, and if they are a flower, they will be incredibly beautiful.)
Griffins- A creature with eagle's wings, feathers, and head, but the body and tail of a lion. They can shift into a human form, but they keep their feathery ears on the top of their heads. They are wanted for their incredibly soft feathers.
Mermaids- These are shifters as well, they can change their form to a human like form, though they can't hold it long without water. Without water, they'll die. They have scales still with their human like form. They are wanted for their scales, and the meat of their tails, which is said to be quite delicious.
Satyrs- Short creatures with legs of a goat. They have horns on their head, and they cannot shift. They all play the lute, and can play it so beautifully, that it can enchant/hypnotize anyone who hears. They are wanted for their enchanting abilities, as well as their horns, which are made of an extremely beautiful and durable material.
Centaurs- These are the fighters. Half man, half horse, they cannot shift (Even if they could, they probably wouldn't) They usually have some sort of weapon with them. They are wanted for their strength, to be used as a pack horse basically.
Fairies- These creatures cannot shift. They are very small, ranging from three to six inches in height. Each one has a special jinx they use to irritate or help people. They have wings and can fly.
They are wanted as slaves to jinx whomever their master wants.
At some point during the RP, I think it would be fun for all the characters to get captured and put on the pirate boat as they sail to wherever they came from. XD So, we can have some normal stuff, but let's shoot for this. ^^^
PIRATES:
You can play a pirate at any time, but don't make a character sheet until all of our characters get captured and put on a boat. When they all get captured, I'll go ahead and say, "Everyone who wants to play a pirate, can go ahead and make a character sheet now.
"
