I have had chickens for almost 2 years. I have 9 chickens sadly some have died since I got them. 8 hens and a rooster. They free range from the time they woke up till they go to bed. I don’t have many predators and the only predators I do have are birds of prey in which they have a lot of things to go under. My chickens names are Heather,Edith, Katherine, Indigo, Scorpio,Violet, Pisces, Taurus, and Brad. I’m hopefully getting more chickens this year. I live in Middle Tennessee. I have 8 dogs and 4 Guinea Pigs. Hopefully getting some reptiles soon. As you can tell I love animals and love taking care of them.
 
Welcome to the BYC! Sorry to hear about your passed on babies... But the ones you have sound awesome!! Do you know what breeds your girls are? I love animals as well and my dream is to run a full time animal rescue ;) welcome again- look forward to hearing more from you!!

No. I couldn’t tell you what breeds they are. Someone was rehoming and I just went and picked them up. She didn’t know what breed they are. I know what three are and the rest I couldn’t tell you . 1 leghorn, 1 isa brown, 1 crested cream legbar. I think my rooster is a Rhode Island Red. As far as the rest idk.
