Yeah I don't think we are supposed to have them here in town but my neighbors won't mind as long as I keep them to myself.

Their coop is my garage so the only visible thing will be the coop. I've tried looking up laws for our area but can't find anything. I suppose I could check with the hardware store. If anything I can always put them at my grandparents farm, its 20 minutes out of town so that would work.

I think I read somewhere that someone called their humane society and asked them if it was OK. I had a chicken in town once, but we had a wooden fence and moved soon after we got it, so no one complained. I don't think most neighbors care as long as they don't stink and aren't loud.

Yup thats what my dad said. Hes pretty smart and obeys the law all the time. Ha. really though. He does plumbing heating and air and was out today working with my brother on a job and the neighbors had chickens! ha. Hes seen all sorts of farm animals. He said farm animals as long as you have space and fee them are legal in town. So thats cool. I'm happy. I was going to use my garage for the coop but I decided thats going to be my workshop because I like woodworking as a hobby so i'm going to put the coop on the side of the garage and then the chicken run. It should be fun. So anyways wish me luck with that chicken coop!

Besides, when did any of us start listening to what our friends thought about our farm animals???? lol
Seriously, I think that little chicks are the best therapy anyone can get. Have any of you given your chicks little wax worms to play tug of war with? It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. They run around reminding me of the Road Runner, when out of no where "Meep-Meep" off they go! Precious and I giggle thinking about them.

Thats so true. I don't care so much about what others think about my chickens or the way I live. It kind of comes in handy in my life. Me being gay and all. It doesn't work in the gay commmunity if you care what others think, you'd go crazy. So when I get other crazy ideas, I go with them instead of caring about what others think. It usually proves to be a great way of life.

So yeah the chickens are soo much fun, they are getting BIG now. I'll have to take some more pics today and put them up on my myspace. I have 5 pics up now but they aren't very good and it was when I first got them a week ago, they have grown since then.
