His feathers are growing back but...

Remember my RIR rooster that my dog attacked? He came thru it fine and his feathers are growing back. But the tail feathers growing back in that were green are white. What's up with that?

That is becuse they got hurt. Nex year when he molts more them like they will come in colored.

Mine do that, too. Feathers will come in un-natuarally colored. Looks kind of funny but I'm usually glad they fill in at all.

My aunt's game rooster was attacked by a dog and lost his tail feathers.When they first came in they had white in them.This last time when he molted,they were the right color.
