Thought I'd share a story with y'all. A few months back I had a Cornish X rooster named Fat Boy. He was the sweetest thing and my 5 year old daughter's best friend, she would bring him inside to take naps with her even! Lol. Well we had to move before he was sexually mature and had no choice but to leave him and my lady's behind for the time being at my ex's. Well a month later I had discovered my ex put some eggs in the incubator before he had left out of state 2 weeks prior and low and behold they were fertilized and doing quite well against all odds. So I take my lady's, the bator with eggs, and Fat Boy and head to our new home a state away, all the bator eggs and lady's did well but Fat Boy didn't make the drive sadly. My daughter's best friend had died. Once we got settled at home it was about a week before the 2 eggs hatched! We were delighted that we had some of Fat Boys babies! Out of curiosity I collected eggs from my lady's and a few were fertilized even with Fat Boy being gone for a couple weeks. 2 hatched! Today I only have 1 surviving baby of Fat Boy and it's about 3 months old and so beautiful. She's an ameracauna Cornish cross x. And now for the pics!! Fat Boy, when the baby was a bitty, and today! Talk about a beautiful bird <3
