His skin is red!

What’s going on with him? He has a red chest and his but is bright red. Is this his normal color? What could this be?

Everyone. They are free range chickens

There are other roosters. He generally stays away from them. Him and the other bantams get out the fencing so they aren’t stuck with them. I guess it could be possible though

Chickens pick each others feathers sometimes for various reasons. Sometimes they eat them because they may not be getting enough protein in their feed, and some do it on the roosts while they are just hanging out.
