Hello all!

I’ve been the happy new owner of 3 laying chickens for a little over a month now and absolutely love having them! (Not sure of breed!!) They’ve got such fantastic personalities and are super friendly! They’ve got an Eglu go as a coop/nesting box with an attached run 8ftx4ft rectangle, with afternoon supervised free ranging (we had an incident with one of the girls and a local cat after a few weeks of free roaming completely, will be seeking advice soon!) We also have a resident dog, who is tolerant of the girls and they of him! They came from a lovely place with two loud guard dogs, good for us as ours can be loud!!

Looking forward to gaining some more knowledge of how to care for girlies thanks in advance! 😊

You have some really nice looking girls! They look very healthy and look pretty friendly as well. My chickens are not yet old enough to lay eggs but they are getting there. My leghorn will be laying eggs hopefully within the next 12 weeks and my reds within the next 4 to 5 months. I also have a little Barred Rock Runt named little falcon and she is the friendliest one i own. She is about 2 weeks old.

They’re absolutely beautiful girls, really friendly, hopping on our knees already if we’re sat out. That’s an amazing selection you’ve got, I’m not entirely sure what these girlies are, we got them at point of lay and after bringing them home and settling in the coop we were very surprised to have eggs the next day and continuing, until about a a week ago when they all suddenly stopped, Scramble was attacked whilst roaming free by a local cat luckily only plumage damage, however with shock stopped laying as expected, then over the next week the other two stopped, so seeking advice from more knowledgable owners haha!
