Hey my names Joy and I am new to the bird raising! <3 but I am loving it so far and it's crazy to me how fast my baby has grown! in just a few weeks! I really am excited for mine to be fully grown. Mine is a pet mostly and for eggs. Anyway I am from the east coast and I found this site randomly looking up pictures of what chicks could look like full grown! I don't really know what all to say here! but hi and thanks for an awesome site <3

Nice to meet you PhoenixByrdMom!

Welcome to BYC, Joy! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I'm so glad to hear you are enjoying your chicken adventure! They sure do grow fast, don't they?! I'm always blown away each time I raise them. What kind of chicken do you have? My hens are pets too. I love their personalties and I could never, ever eat them!

Thank you so much all! :) I am so glad I joined! <3
I have one ameraucana(Gretel), two leghorns,-one red and one brown(Spring and Livorno), my Phoenix which I just learned is an Easter Egger and probably a cockerel! then we have one Australorp and she is so sweet and loves being held! I love her!-her names Daisy :) and we have one we don't remember what my uncle said she was but she's all black, she looks like a crow now that she's getting bigger! lol! her name is Gizmo!

Thank you so much all!

You're welcome. I'll bet Daisy is a real sweetheart.) Australorps are my favorite standard breed. Not only are they extremely hardy and excellent layers of large, brown eggs, but they are very calm and gentle. My children and my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of ours.
