Well I know they came from a mixed flock. I picked them up from the lady (had to steal em from momma duck

) & raised them from day olds. She has a Crested Blue Swedish hen and a normal BS Drake but she also had a Silver Runner Drake too. Can you get Silver from two Blues?

I know I never have with my Muscovies, so is it just a really rare occurence?

Yup, breed two blues and approximately 25% offspring will be silver. The genetics are thus: Two black genes make black. Two black genes, one blue gene makes blue. Two black genes, two blue genes makes silver. So when you have two blues as parents, 25% offspring will get the black but no blue; 50% will get black and one blue; 25% will get black and two blues.
