New England.. the cold part.
my meaties are 7 1/2 weeks old, and 20 of them are eating a 50lb bag of food every 5 or 6 days... and a lot of grass, and drinking a lot of water... it's free choice for 12 hours, and none for 12 hours. anyway, my smallest meatie is having a hard time walking, one of her legs looks like it's attached wrong, maybe too far out to the side? anyway, should I cull her now, or is she likely to make it another week and a half? We've got a 'date' on the 16th. We lost one to the heat today, and all the others pecked all the feathers off in the hour or two before I noticed. gross. I swear, I'm never doing meat birds again.

Just curious who's doing your birds for you? I'll have some ready in another months and will need someone.

I called the guy at the mobile processing unit 802-888-7228, and I have to meet him in MILTON on the 16th.. which is like way north or something, and it's kind of crappy to try to drive that far with 20 birds somehow, and my 3 kids, in my station wagon.... but there's also a guy in Brookfield, named Jeremiah? that I might end up calling instead.... I'm not sure they're all going to make it to 9 weeks... I can try to PM you his number if I can find it.
