Hi, everyone! I'm honeycake, and I live in Arizona with my husband, our two dogs, and, as of yesterday, two hens: a New Hampshire Red (Scraps) and a Dark Brahma (Eleanor Roosevelt).
Some friends are moving out of state and couldn't take their flock, so these two girls came to live with us. We've been wanting chickens for some time--we're giving the whole homesteading thing our best effort--and when this opportunity came along, we couldn't say no.
