Hey everyone does it hurt the chicken when you pick them up by there legs,like when they are flogging you to get them to stop or to apply medicine on the vent or feet?
 
No. I would, however, be cautious when utilizing that method, as it has the potential to cause the bird to aspirate if it has recently ingested any sort of liquid. I generally avoid it unless absolutely necessary.

I never pick my chickens up by their leg's. I can't imagine that it's very comfortable for the bird.

I pick mine up by putting my hand under their bellies between their legs. Then put my other hand under legs until the are comfy... but mine are use to it.. and real tame
