Hole in neck skin. Need advice on how to treat

Haha I feel the same about some of mine. I have anorexic and a binge eating disordered chicks--

I have had a raccoon tear up my roosters head bad. Antibacterial ointment, a week in basement hospital(haha) and TLC worked for him. Then the neighbors dog has torn up 2 hens pretty bad, tears in the skin bleeding, the works. I spray them with this stuff called zn7 that I have for cat/dog wounds from a vet clinic or the neosporin ointment, and as long as the others arent picking at the wounds(had to seperate for a few days at first), they have all healed incredibly well. shocking how well actually! Im sure she'll be fine!

Wow! I guess they can withstand more than I thought! Good news.

They can overcome a lot. My hen was attacked by a possom a month ago. She refused to eat or drink. I force fed her and after a little over a day of this we thought we were going to have to cull her. She couldn't hold her head up and we thought she wasn't going to make it. I did some research and kept force feeding her some homemade oatmeal with kelp and water. Two weeks later she started to eat on her own and was ready to go back in the coop. We still fed her treats and occasionally cooked egg to put weight on her. It has been a month and I think she started laying again yesterday.

Wow, happy story! She did recover nicely. She was a lonely bird for about a week. She avoided all the chickens and we were best friends. But now she hangs out with the banties again and runs a little faster if the bully comes around. I give them a lot of credit.
