Hollister Chicken show 09 :D :D :D

I went to the Hollister chicken show in cali today and it was awesome!!! There was sooo many awesome breeds there of chickens,geese, ducks and even a turkey!

Wow, those are some stunning birds! I wouldn't mind owning any one of them! (I really like the last one... just, wow!)

now thats a toughie but i think its a tie between the japanese rooster, naked necks, and the GIANT barred rock hen

That third to last bird (blue silver duckwing bantam araucana pullet) is my girl. It's not an accepted color (and, indeed, it was an accident!), but the judge said she had really good type. *does the happy dance*

She's going to Stockton as well.

Anyway, I was there but selling birds all day (mortgage crisis forces major sale) and I think I got to meet our fearless leader! ?? Is that right? Wearing a "chillin' with my peeps" shirt. I love going to shows. It's the only place where no one minds me talking about chickens or genetics!

Hollister is always a beautiful show. The people who put it on work so hard to make it nice for everyone. It's the only show where I'm sure my bantam Phoenix boys will get a double coop and my Polish boys will get a large coop. Their attention to detail and their friendly attitude always makes it my favorite show.
