In the 5 years I've had chickens I've never had one go broody. Then this year my 3 year old Sussex went broody. She failed to hatch any of the eggs... So I finally kicked her off of them. Now, a month later, one of my EE has gone broody. Problem is I can't separate her right now unless I use a dog kennel because my newly hatched chicks are in my other coop. So I keep taking her eggs. I'm wondering if this happens much. One hen going broody and prompting others. Or is there something in the water here??
