Home built cabinet incubator question.. HELP please

I'll have to look into the electronic thermostat. I bought the wafer because it was cheap, and I didn't want to spend a lot right now. However that's not alway the best way to go...

You say the effect is marginal but you use a high end thermostat an you still made sure to put the sensor in the winds path?

The effect probably is almost unnoticeable with a thermocouple.

With the metal coil/Mercury bubble thermostat I use, the effect is just enough that I can prove it exists but not bad enough to effect my design.

With a wafer that has the flaw of having to much thermal mass, the effect starts to be an actual issue.

And with a water heater thermostat, the effect is so great that thermostat placement can mean the difference between success an disaster.

Sara, good to hear that the water wiggler settled your nerves. I'm sure your incubator is well with in spec for a sportsman or equivalent but it sure ain't fun watching that thermometer go up an down. The steady water wiggler temp sure helps ya sleep better.
