Home made chicken diaper, need help fast

My most timid Buff Orpington gets bullied all the time by the roosters, and we try to keep an eye on it and chase the roosters away when we see it happening.

Well today I saw that she was bleeding on her right cheek. I have her inside right now in a dog carrier. Would like to be able to let her walk around the house but I need help from you guys on how to make a chicken diaper.

Has anyone done this? Thank you in advance for your help!

Seriously there are a lot of BYC folks that have house chickens!!! There's even 2 videos of house chickens on Youtube. They come up when you do a search for chicken diapers.

Let me know when you decide to order one!

Maybe you should buy or build a rabbit hutch type coop just for the BO and get her a silkie hen for company. Just keep her seperate, but you dont have to put a diaper on her. Sounds major messy. Maybe you could think of finding her a new home. I am sure it would be easy. I would do the hutch home for her and make her more into a pet.

I hope I didn't sound like a jerk with my post. I think it's
great what your doing and completely understand since I've
had to do it myself. I potty trained my conure and wish I
could do it with a chicken. The idea of a diaper sounded so funny
but also makes complete sense.

Ok, the diapers are great, They aren't messy at all. You put sandwich bags in the pouch to catch to poo. Then you just throw away the sandwich bag. I have two so called house chickens, a frizzle and a silkie. I don't have a pattern, I bought from the site Carribrown put in her post. It took me about a week to get used to putting them on. I bought three so that I could have one in the wash one on and one ready. I have since bought more. They are worth every penny. She makes them according to the size of your chicken. You could order one and go from there.
That is all right PurpleChicken, I have been called crazy for other reasons. I am now called the chicken gma in my little town. I thought it was funny at first also. But it is so easy I just love them.

I have heard of this and am so tempted to get some for my cochin. I lost the rooster this week (not sure what happened to him) and now she is alone. My silkie hen is setting again and the rooster wants to mount the little cochin all the time (she is just two months) so I am bringing her in the house some and keep her in an old play pen. But she can fly out of it if I don't cover it with a sheet. I have a house rabbit but I don't know if my husband would go for a house chicken. Maybe I should put him in the coop and keep her inside. LOL
