I've cooked for our dogs for years. One recipe, I buy the 10 lb bags of chicken leg quarters when they are on sale, boil them down, debone them, put the meat back in the pot w/the broth, add a bag of broccoli, green beans, peas & carrots, chicken livers and brown rice, cook it all down & put in ziploc bags in the freezer.
another - cook down ground beef, mix with any combination of above veggies & brown rice OR oatmeal & shape into meatloves & bake & freeze. Can also use tuna instead of beef.
Tuna & eggs are also good. Also add boiled, chopped eggs into any of the other above recipes, or spinach instead of broccoli, or turkey instead of chicken, etc.
They all have thrived on this for years. They also get servings of cottage cheese mixed w/above sometimes, or pasta instead of rice or oatmeal.
