Home-made incubator question abou porcelian base thingy

Okay, so I am suposed to take apart a heatlamp to geth the porcelian base and cord..... how on earth do I do that??!!

It unscrews, grab the ring that surrounds the base of the llight bulb and the back of the porcelain where the cord enters and unscew it. there will be some resistance though.

Thanks! I had to use a screwdriver and unscrew a couple screws then I got it...maybe I can post about my incubator later.

I just use an extension cord and a light bulb socket that plugs in.

I just bought mine at Lowe's, already to go. I think they are around $3.00 ea.
