I had a hinged top wooden box I made a few years ago for dog food, I recently quit using it, made some adjustments and now its a chicken feeder. It holds seven or eight times as much food as the small one I was using from TSC. Just thought I would share, have a good day!

Just built it last night, filled it today. So we'll see how it goes. I have a board angled on the back wall so the feed should push out as it gets emptied.

I just built one about a week ago.

It is 15" wide, 12" deep and about 39" tall. It has the 45 degree board inside that should gravity feed as they eat.

I asked on another post how many chickens should be able to feed from it at a time and they said about 6.

My opening is about 4" deep, 4" open and 15" wide.

Out of necessity comes invention!

Good to chat with you.

My Best,

jimmy
