Sorry Im slow to reply I must have replies turned off. These vines range between 30-50 years old, my grandfather started his crop with the bronze cultivar back in the 70s maybe even earlier and reds soon after, and my uncle planted his in the 80s or 90s, all clones from my grandfather. We have about 12 rows, each row is maybe 50-75ft if I was to guess, with plants every 10ft apart or so just guessing. They need a hard prunning every 2-3 years. I probably could pick 400 lbs a year if I had the time, space, and energy to make that much wine lol. These are all modern cultivars, none are from the wild muscadines we picked as kids and ate, the bronze get almost twice as big as the wild ones, the red cultivar is about normal size but has a better flavor.Curious - Muscadine are native to my property, and I've planted a few of my own. How old are your vines, and how many do you have that you ccould pull 70 +/- pounds of grapes?
**I had to edit and up the lb of amount I could harvest, I calculated it wrong, I base it on 5 gallon buckets which are roughly 40lb of muscadines.
